Sidia T. Smith
Sidia was admitted to practice in 2009 having obtained a Legal Education Certificate from Norman Manley Law School. She is also a graduate of the University of The West Indies with a Bachelors of Law Degree (Hons.)
Sidia is a member of our litigation department where her practise areas include Commercial Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Environment and Planning Law, Contentious Probate Proceedings, Contentious Restrictive Covenant Application, Personal Injury Claims, Contract and Commercial Law.
Sidia also has considerable experience advising and representing several local government agencies in the creation and enforcement of local government laws including but not limited to the Town and Country Planning Act, The Kingston and St. Andrew Building Act and the Parish Councils Building Act.
Sidia is a member of the Civil Practice and Procedure and the Social Affairs and Outreach Committees of the Jamaica Bar Association. She is also a member of the Continuing Legal Professional Development Committee of the General Legal Council.
