A heavy increase in fees for trade mark matters takes effect on September 30, 2023 at the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO). The increase sees common actions such as trade mark applications increasing from $7,800.00 to $13,700.00 and trade mark renewals climbing from $11,200.00 to $19,600.00. On average the increases range between 75% to 90%.
