
Mikhail began his studies at the University of the West Indies initially reading for a B.Sc in International Relations, and then transferred to the Faculty of Law in 2007. In 2010 Mikhail graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours and in 2012 successfully obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School.
Mikhail joined the firm in 2012 and is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department where he handles matters concerning a wide variety of practice areas including personal injury, contractual disputes, administrative reviews and commercial litigation. He is also a member of the Firm's Employment and Industrial Relations Department where he acts for both employees and employers in various labour related disputes. Additionally, Mikhail works on Family Law matters including divorces and custody applications and Trademark enforcement matters, particularly in the area of counterfeiting.
Throughout his studies Mikhail held a keen interest in human rights and outreach work which he displayed through his leadership of various student and community groups whilst at the Norman Manley Law School, the University of the West Indies and his alma mater of Campion College. He received various awards and prizes for his efforts in this regard. Mikhail’s passion for service continues in his professional life as he currently sits on the Board of the Campion College Alumni Association; is the Vice Curator for the Global Shapers Kingston Hub; is a member of the National Anti-Contraband Committee; and is a member of the Advertising Committee of the General Legal Council.
Mikhail is also a member the Jamaican Bar Association and its Civil Procedure and Practice and Industrial Relations and Labour Law sub-committees.
