
Kathryn is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, practising in administrative law, and general civil and commercial litigation, including property disputes, contractual disputes, personal injury and employment law.
She was admitted to the Bar in Jamaica in 2016 and as a Barrister of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (Anguilla Circuit) in 2023. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws with first-class honours from the University of the West Indies and, thereafter, a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School, where she graduated on the Principal’s Honour Roll and was the Most Outstanding Year II Student. She also holds a Master of Laws in Public Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she specialized in courses such as Terrorism and the Rule of Law, Human Rights Law and International Commercial Arbitration.
In addition to her legal practice, Kathryn is actively engaged in academia and public service and has served as an adjunct tutor at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus and lecturer at the University College of the Caribbean, teaching courses in Criminal Law and Constitutional Law. She currently serves as a Director at the HEART/NSTA Trust, and is a member of various non-governmental and civil society human rights and anti-corruption organizations in Jamaica. As a keen advocate of human rights and public law issues, Kathryn has published several articles on these topics.
She is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association, serving as Convenor of the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee and a member of the Constitutional Law and Human Rights Committee and a former Co-Chair of the Association’s Social Affairs and Outreach Committee. She is also a member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the Anguilla Bar Association.
